Biography

Whit became a Managing Director of Brokerage for The Piedmont Group in 2007. He is the Founder and Managing Partner of Piedmont insurance Brokerage. Whit graduated from Georgia College in Milledgeville, GA with a B.A. in Mass Communication/Public Relations.

Since beginning his career in 2005, Whit has served in the following industry leadership roles: 2011-2012 President of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA), 2015-2016 President of MassMutual Brokerage Advisory Board, Georgia Insurance Commissioner’s Life, Annuity and Long-Term Care Advisory Committee, a member of the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) and active member of AALU. He has also been a featured speaker at industry symposiums and has appeared on the radio and in print regarding the importance of insurance planning, product features and industry innovation.

Whit and his wife, Nicole, live in Brookhaven, GA with their son, Palmer, daughter, Mona and dog, Humphrey. He enjoys golf, basketball, snow skiing and trying new restaurants. Active in his community, Whit has served on the Board of Trustees at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, the Board of Little Nancy Creek Park and as the past President of the Touchdown Club of Atlanta.
