Jim is an insurance professional with over 25 years of experience specializing in individual disability, life insurance and long term care insurance.
Jim began his insurance career in 1992 at Blanksteen Economic Services, directly selling various disability and life insurance products to physicians and medical professionals. Jim quickly became the sales leader finding a niche in medical and dental residency programs.
In 1995, Jim joined The Paul Revere insurance company as a brokerage representative and was quickly merged into The Provident and, subsequently, UnumProvident (now known as Unum). During his final years at these carriers, Jim led the New York City sales office with annual production levels exceeding $1 Million in annual individual disability insurance sales.
In 2004, Jim started his own disability insurance focused agency with Union Central Life and, shortly thereafter, expanded his carrier offerings to include all of the major products available in today’s market.
Jim joined the agency in 2009 to work closely with brokers to develop life, disability and LTC cases. Jim’s depth of product knowledge and underwriting experience is unparalleled in the industry.
Jim was born at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and was raised in Darien, Connecticut.
Jim currently lives in Easton, Connecticut with his wife Laura and his two children. Jim is active in his community, serving as a volunteer fireman at Easton Volunteer Fire Company, #1 where he obtained is Q Certification, allowing him to drive fire apparatus and is certified as an Emergency Medical Responder.
